Season 9 kicked off with Jerry driving around special guest, Kristen Wiig. The perfect guest to start the new season, Wiig has been a constant source of the best laughs most notably from Bridesmaids and Saturday Night Live. The pair are taking a 1964 Volvo 122S Amazon to the LA institution, House of Pies.

What makes this show even more awesomer is that it’s a Crackle production, a free online and app-based streaming service that was named one of StreamSavvy favorite free apps in 2016.

How to watch: you can stream Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and the Season 9 premiere is available online right now (as of last night). You can also stream it through the Crackle app on most streaming devices.

New to Netflix: One Day at a Time

New to Netflix: One Day at a Time

A “new oldie” on Netflix. One Day at a Time is the latest original series to drop on Netflix, and it’s already getting tons of great buzz. The Netflix original is a remake of the 1975 version produced by Norman Lear. I think we’re supposed to know who that is. On further research, he is a TV production legend who has been dropping hit shows for decades.

The Netflix series, with its 13 episode first season, is all about a Cuban-American family. Penelope is the matriarch of the family and a former military veteran who is separated from her husband. She’s raising a teenaged daughter, the idealist, and a son, a socially awkward middle-schooler. Adding to the mix is Penelope’s mother, Lydia, who pops up to help out around the house.

How to watch: you can watch online, on your mobile device, on your smart TV, or on your streaming device through the Netflix app. If you don’t have it, or aren’t using your parents’ / sister’s / neighbor’s login, you can sign up for a free trial then roll into a $9.99 per month subscription if you like it.

Award Season Kick Off: Golden Globes

We love TV. So go figure we’re going to watching the Globes on Sunday night. You should too. There are some awesome shows nominated in both drama and comedy categories with great performances across the board. We’re thinking it’s going to be This Is Us in Drama and Atlanta in Comedy. You heard it here first. (Sunday | NBC | 8pm ET)

How to watch: In select markets (basically major cities), you can stream NBC through Sling TV (Blue). If you are in an area that doesn’t get live TV through Sling, your digital antenna should work well.

For the red carpet junkies among us, there are a bunch of ways to stream the red carpet.
