StreamSavvy’s daily guide for the best TV from January 12, 2017. Watch Sneaky Pete on Amazon as its first season drops today and the season two premiere of Colony airs tonight. Here’s the post with what to watch, why you should check it out, and how to stream it.
Watch Sneaky Pete on Amazon: Series Premiere
The entire first season of Sneaky Pete drops on Amazon today. A con man named Marius (Giovanni Ribisi) is on the run from a dangerous criminal as he leaves prison. To hide, Marius takes on the identity of his cellmate, Pete, from prison. Posing as Pete, he reconnects with Petes’ long estranged family. Like all families this one has its issues, but unlike most, this dysfunctional group could pull him onto a path that’s even more dangerous than the one he’s hiding from.
Thursday night. Happy hour then TV night, and we watch Sneaky Pete on Amazon.
Season Premiere: Colony
From executive producers of Lost, comes the second season of USA Network’s Colony. It definitely trends into the sci-fi side of things, but even for those of us who don’t put that genre at the top, this one’s worth a watch. Season two kicks off tonight taking us back to Los Angeles. Set in the not-so-distant future as Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies) battle to stay together in a new world order following a sudden alien invasion.

Taking up the story where season one left off, Will gets in deep with the Collaborators in an effort to get their son back while Katie has taken matters into her own hands, joining forces with the Resistance. They suddenly find themselves on opposite sides of the battle putting the core of their family in jeopardy. And so the fun begins. (USA 10/9c)

If you’re new to Colony, we’d recommend crushing a few epis of the first season on Netflix where all of season one is available.
NBA Matchup: Bulls vs. Knick
Derrick Rose and Joaquin Noah the Chicago franchise players that left for New York. Now both wear the New York Knicks jerseys, which should be a great thing – a new start. But since the New Year, things have been bad for Rose and the Knicks. Like for example when Rose decided not to show up this past Monday for a game. Without telling anyone. Yeah. Bad. It should be an interesting one tonight as the Chicago Bulls play the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. (TNT 8/7c)
