StreamSavvy Guide: What to Watch December 29, 2016

StreamSavvy’s guide for the best TV, what to watch, and how to stream it December 29, 2016, including the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and the Alamo Bowl streaming live on ESPN.

Well….today may be the worst day of the year for television. There is almost nothing worth watching outside of college football. So this is a good night to plow through any of those shows on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon that you’ve been putting off. This is the night to end procrastination. Here are a few of the shows that you should stop ignoring and start streaming.

Stream Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt Online

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

The Netflix original from the mind of the brilliant Tina Fey, this is one that sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. If you liked 30 Rock on NBC, then this is the show for you. Netflix released the first season in 2015 and the second one this year. With only two seasons, it’s doable in a few-day-binge sesh.

Kimmy Schmidt (the very awesome Ellie Kemper) is rescued after spending 15 years in a cult in the Midwest. She feels like its time to start really living her life and ventures to New York, where everyday life becomes a new experience that she takes in with wide-eyed enthusiasm. Her counterpart ends up being a gay, “trying to find his first big role” Broadway actor, who’s day job is being street performer in Times Square. The pair take on life together with a fresh perspective and humor that only Fey can bring. (Netflix)

Peaky Blinders

Hands down, one of the best shows on TV. Rolling Stone calls it one of the most “binge worthy” shows.

A notorious and murderous street gang from Birmingham, England, is led by the ambitious-at-all-costs Tommy Shelby. A riveting show with just the right amount of plot, character, shootouts, gambling, sex, and bloodshed. If you haven’t seen it yet, start it tonight. (Netflix)
